Today Firefox 39 has been released and with it is some 22 important security fixes, of which includes the Logjam vulnerability.
For those of you who don’t know Logjam is a vulnerability which enables an attacker to use inherit issues from an older SSL issue which made it to TLS and has only recently been discovered. The security of HTTPS, mail servers, VPNs and the like could be breached because of Logjam.
Additionally Firefox has implemented Google’s safe browsing technology and checks downloads for malware by checking the files signature against a known safe list. If you use Firefox make sure you have the upgrade, because everything fixed and added in 39 is worth it.
