Kaspersky Zero-Day

Claims of a Zero-day vulnerability within Kaspersky’s own systems have surfaced. The claims came from a security researcher Travis Ormandy (@taviso) and he added that the vulnerability was quote “about as bad as it gets”

Kaspersky reacted quickly and rolled out an update worldwide and also thanked Travis for “reporting a buffer overflow vulnerability”

This is a good example of how Cyber security firms, promptly reporting vulnerabilities to the affected company and working together to remain on-top of these bugs before any harm is done.
