Some interesting photos have found their way onto the internet and it hints at a possible second generation of Google’s Chromecast. Reported to feature ac Wifi Support, a feature called “Feeds” which allows images to be displayed on the homescreen and something called “Fastplay” which by no surprise allows the streaming of content to be even faster then before.
Also an interesting feature that has been talked about is auxiliary support, which can be used to play music via a connected device from the aux port and play back, also it may support multi-room playback. The final feature is support for Spotify, which may entice users to upgrade pretty quick.
The blurry images don’t show much but it definitely looks like they have decided on a new form factor and maybe the possibilities of three colours, Yellow, Black and Red.
We shouldn’t have long to wait though, it is expected that the announcement should come at the upcoming Nexus event, which is planned for the 29th September. So watch this space.
